Gentlemen,

I am excited to see you all for our Men’s Retreat. This is going to be a fun time of camping, eating, and enjoying the outdoors together. I wanted to send out this final bit of correspondence to you all to ensure you have all the information you need.

Also, if you are reading this, and haven’t signed up yet, you can do so here.

WHEN, WHERE, & GETTING THERE

We will be staying at the Doris Campgrounds starting on Thursday, May 2nd into Saturday, May 4th. Men are encouraged to attend for any portion of the retreat even if you unable to make it to the earlier, Thursday-night activities. The physical address of the Doris Campgrounds is

127 NW Camp Doris Road

Indiahoma, OK 73552

HOWEVER, when you get within 5-10 minutes of the location, you will likely loose cell service, and thus your GPS on your phones. In addition to that, last year we found that the Google and Apple Maps took many of us to a random ranger station miles past the site. So be aware of road signs to get to the camp ground. To that end, Doris Campground does have more extensive directions on there website. You can view them here.

PLEASE NOTE: There will not be any cell service near our campsites. Please make sure someone knows where you are so we can keep everyone safe. There are limited spots with cell service within a 5-10 minute drive of our campsites if needed.

ARRIVAL

For those of you coming for night 1, check in will be from 4-7PM. We will be at Group Sites A and B (they are right beside each other). We will show you where to go when you arrive. For those of you who are coming in at a later time, Group Sites A and B are still the best place to go. However, if in the event you arrive and do not immediately see anyone, feel free to find a spot and start setting up camp. We have reserved the following sites.

A, Group

B, Group

59, E

60, E

61, E

63, E

When you arrive, Doris Campground Employees can provide you with a map and directions on how to find each of the sites. If they ask, the reservation is for Frontline Church OR Cale Freeman.

WHAT TO BRING

We are providing the campsite, meals as listed below, water, and some firewood. Other than that, you’ll need to bring whatever gear you may need to camp and any supplemental food you would like to have! SPECIAL NOTE: This is a bring-your-own-coffee event. If you need caffeine (you know who you are), don’t forget to pack some and means of heating water!

We encourage you to wear appropriate attire for camping and hiking, but if you would like to partake in additional outdoor activities in your free time (fishing, mountain biking, etc…) we would encourage you to bring whatever gear you may need. We will have several people leading various activities during the free time periods on Friday & Saturday.

Please make sure to bring a physical Bible, notebook, and pen as online versions will not be accessible.

ADDITIONAL INFO

- We encourage you to bring your own snacks and extra food, particularly if you would like a heartier breakfast or lunch, as they will be simple. We encourage you to bring your own coffee as well and means of brewing it!

- Most of the campsites are standard, non-electric campsites. Flush toilets and showers are provided within walking distance in a shower/restroom complex, however there may be chemical or vault toilets closer to our location.

- We will bring bottled water, but you are encouraged to bring some too, as any water found at the campground should be boiled before consuming according to their website.

- We would also advise you to carpool if possible, as parking is limited.

- Please follow all laws and regulations for the campground and wildlife refuge. For further information on what those are, you can find them here.
